The Federal Member for Hinkler David Batt MP has today announced the opening of the Stronger Communities Programme – Round 10 for the Hinkler electorate.
Mr Batt is encouraging eligible local community groups and sporting organisations to submit an expression of interest for grants of between $2,500 and $20,000.
“The successful projects will provide social benefits and help Hinkler become a more vibrant and viable community,” said Mr Batt.
“Our local organisations and their volunteers work tirelessly to fundraise through raffles and sponsorship, but this initiative could help relieve pressure and fund important projects.
Round 10 has new objectives relating to climate resilience, native flora and fauna, positive mental and physical health, and community participation to promote tolerance and social cohesion.”
Mr Batt said incorporated not-for-profit entities, local councils, state government agencies, and incorporated trustees managing community assets can apply.
