Bondi condolence speech

The Federal Member for Hinkler David Batt MP has delivered a condolence speech to Parliament on behalf of Hinkler residents.

Parliament was recalled early for MP’s to honour the victims of the Bondi terror attack.

“I share our deepest condolences to the loved ones of the 15 innocent lives lost at Bondi,” Mr Batt told Parliament.

“My community of Hinkler stands together with our Australian Jewish community.

The people of Hinkler grieve together with all of Australia.”

Mr Batt told Parliament that hate must be removed from our society.

“In the face of this – the worst terrorist attack in our history – we all must find a way to unite and stamp out antisemitism,” Mr Batt said.

MP’s and members of the public can sign a condolence book which is available in the Marble Foyer at Australian Parliament House until January 23.
